Today I want to touch on a struggle I have found so many have questions about which is how do I drive more traffic to my website?!
There are people out there that claim to have the secret formula..but it going to cost you $99 to get it. Or they promise through their service of XYZ you will have loads of people coming to your website.
Here’s the thing though. You can have thousands of people coming to your website, but if a good percentage of them are not possibly your ideal client, then they mean nothing. We love numbers and are told the bigger the better. Just keep in mind quality over quantity.
With that in mind, how can you drive good quality traffic to your website?
Let’s dive in.
When you can leverage social media to gain traffic to your website, you can create a fantastic referral of traffic. Use it to your advantage as you are gaining people who already have a good general idea of who you are.
You can easily:
> write shout out posts when you launch a new blog post
> talk about your product/offerings and direct them your website
> create a free offer that directs them to your website to claim via an email opt-in (double win)
> Reference testimonials on your website
You can point out anything on your website and shout it out on your social media. Be creative and link your social media posts with a call-to-action.
Dive into Facebook groups and you will find lots of opportunities for guest blogging quite often. Focus on guest blogging for people who have a similar audience that you would like to target. Find those who have a bit bigger of an audience than you do across the board. (Taking in consideration their social media leverage!)
Taking the time to guest blog is going to help you establish your credibility while also moving you in the right direction with gaining backlinks to your website!
The more you put yourself out there, the more you are going to be able to make yourself and your website more visible. Hence, driving more traffic in return.
Last, but not least, you have SEO! I firmly believe that while this will take the longest to see results from, it is most rewarding. Taking the time to set up SEO will allow you to have an excellent base to move forward from. It takes time, dedication, and a bit of knowledge, but every little effort counts.
For those who are starting at the beginning, I highly recommend Yoast to get you started. Learn and master the basics before moving on. Not on WordPress? Look up and find SEO basics to get you started!
